Transactions in the Solana network have dropped significantly. In principle, these declines are not dangerous in terms of transactions or similar problems in the network. However, the real danger lies in investors’ confidence in the system. The number of transactions per second in the Solana network is close to zero. The cause of the problem still needs to be clarified, but the validators have started to reduce their performance.

The Solana network is once again facing a problem. The number of transactions on the network has dropped drastically, and transactions have almost reached a standstill. According to Solana Explorer, the number of transactions per second, which used to be between four and five thousand, has dropped to 11. The status update on Solana’s official website states that it is a cluster problem and that engineers are working on a solution. In principle, this is not a problem for Solana. As long as the functioning of the network does not involve the alignment and loss of blocks or even hacking activities, short-term delays in the process can be tolerated. Tense Waiting Continues in the Staking World in the Solana Network (SOL)
The statement on the Twitter account of SolBlaze, the software company that provides the staking services for Solana, says that there was a major fork event, so the blocks were delayed. Again, investors are nervous about this issue. Although the delays are not a big problem for people investing in the medium and long term, this situation can cause other problems for investors investing in the long term.
Temporarily Solved Problem
Solana engineers found two ways to solve the problem. One was to downgrade the software version gradually, and the other was to reboot the network as a last resort. SolBlaze reported that the researchers first downgraded from version 1.14 to version 1.13. He also stated that this process needed to be done incrementally. He also stated that this process was not a Solana Labs recommendation and that the nodes were downgraded in a decentralized manner.
